Singles Ski Holidays in VAL D'ISÈRE
Is Val d’Isère the best-loved ski resort in France? If it is, we know why. Reliable snow, wide open spaces, infinitely varied terrain and great nightlife – it's all here.
Chalethotel Le Val d’IsÈre
Location, location, location. It does not come much better than this. Right in the centre of Val d’Isère lounging against a mountain, this chalethotel was newly upgraded in 2008 and is perfectly positioned for just about everything including your singles ski holidays. It's within walking distance of the main Solaise and Bellevarde lifts and it's only minutes from the ski school. It's also in the heart of the shopping, eating and people watching area of this smart resort.
Le Val d’Isère chalethotel is beautifully furnished throughout and the lounge and bar areas with their large sofas and armchairs are the main hub of the hotel. The wide selection of bedrooms are all en-suite and stylishly decorated. There are TVs in every room with English channels and the bathrooms have hairdryers. But it's the dining room that is really impressive here. High up on the fourth floor, this galleried room looks down on the town and up into the mountains. In the evening, when the Olympic downhill course is illuminated and the lights in the trees are reflecting off the snow, it's a magical place to be. Breakfast, tea and dinner are all served in the hotel dining room which is laid out to accommodate larger group tables or tables for two. Le Val d’Isère chalethotel is a great place to stay during ski holidays for singles.

Val d’Isère Ski Resort
It's so easy to see why Val d’Isère remains one of the best loved French skiing destinations. It's kept the charm and the feel of its rural village roots while growing into a modern resort with a lovely atmosphere that is. Flaunt some fashion if you must, indulge in the crazy nightlife if you care to, but more importantly come for the skiing as there's superb terrain and enough variety to suit everyone from people on group holidays or ski holidays for singles.
The nursery slopes are in the middle of the resort and beginners can discover easy runs in breathtaking scenery above the tree line. Stronger skiers have the vast Espace Killy to explore, from the challenge of the Solaise bumps to the wide open pistes of the glacier at Fornet. Off-piste enthusiasts are spoiled for choice and it's the perfect place to combine off-piste guiding and instruction.
Back in the resort get your skates on at the outdoor ice rink or try the Oxygen leisure complex for energetic alternatives and a chance to relax in the wellness area with its fantastic new pool facilities.
Val d'Isère comes alive at night and it's easy to enjoy sophisticated restaurants, live music and dancing into the early hours if you are in the party mood. The Moris Pub is a popular spot among the many bars and clubs on offer.
Val d'Isère is a popular resort that provides a good start for absolute beginners. A lift pass can be excellent value and every 6 day Espace Killy Pass gives one free entry to the new Oxygen Centre which has a swimming pool.
Once a week the village centre is pedestrianized and the evening entertainment includes ice sculptors, music and fireworks.
